## Synopsis

Selena: The Series (2020-2021) is an American biographical music drama created by Moisés Zamora for Netflix. Christian Serratos plays Selena Quintanilla, a Mexican-American Tejano singer whose dreams carry her from family performances toward stardom, while Gabriel Chavarria as A.B. Quintanilla, Ricardo Chavira as Abraham Quintanilla, Noemi Gonzalez as Suzette Quintanilla and Seidy López as Marcella Quintanilla anchor the close-knit household around her. The engine of the series is the constant pull between ambition and loyalty: every career step forces the family to weigh tough choices about love, money, and the music they share. Each of its eighteen episodes, released as a single season, moves through rehearsals, recording sessions, concert stages, and kitchen-table arguments, building a warm, celebratory portrait of a family business turned cultural force. The mood is nostalgic and sincere, with a strong sense of Tejano pride and Texas community life. Fans of Walk the Line, Ray and Vida will find resonance in its blend of musical performance, biography, and family devotion.
