## Synopsis

Love, Victor (2020-2022) is an American coming-of-age teen drama and romantic comedy created by Elizabeth Berger and Isaac Aptaker for Hulu and Disney+. It is a spin-off and sequel to the film Love, Simon, following Victor Salazar (Michael Cimino), a new student at Creekwood High School who has moved to a new city with his family and is quietly struggling with his sexual orientation. Victor's engine is the push and pull between wanting to be honest about who he is and the fear of how his parents, classmates and new friends will react. He leans on Simon (Nick Robinson's successor role is carried in the series by the principal cast), and on friends Benji Campbell (George Sear), Mia Brooks (Rachel Hilson) and Felix Weston (Anthony Turpel) as each episode moves through school dances, crushes, group hangouts and friction at home. The series runs three seasons and twenty-eight half-hour episodes, structured as a continuing story with a clear arc rather than standalone cases. Set in present-day suburban America, it has a warm, earnest and hopeful register, with bright teen comedy beats softened by real family tension. Its tone is sincere and cozy, and its theme of self-acceptance gives it a gentle emotional weight. Fans of Love, Simon, Heartstopper and Degrassi: The Next Generation will find resonance in its wholesome yet honest take on queer adolescence.
