## Synopsis

Happily Married (2020-2024) is a Canadian French-language crime comedy series created for ICI Radio-Canada Télé, with a Quebec production identity. The show follows two discontented couples, Serge Paquette (Patrice Robitaille) and Micheline Paquette (Karine Gonthier-Hyndman) alongside Huguette Delisle (Marilyn Castonguay) and Gaétan Delisle (François Létourneau), who return from a summer camp trip to face the wreckage of their marriages. Unable to handle their problems at home, they drift into becoming the most notorious criminals in Quebec City's organized crime history. The engine of the series is the gap between their suburban respectability and their increasingly reckless schemes, with each episode building on clumsy choices that make the situation worse. Spread across three seasons and twenty-eight episodes of about forty-three minutes each, it unfolds as one continuing story rather than a case-of-the-week format. Set in 1974 Sainte-Foy, the series captures the texture of a quiet suburb and the period's domestic tensions. Its tone mixes dark comedy with melancholy and moments of unease, the register of Fargo and Breaking Bad watchers who enjoy ordinary people making extraordinary mistakes. Fans of bungled crime capers and domestic satire will find resonance here.
