## Synopsis

Twilight of the Gods (2024) is an American adult animated action series created by Jay Oliva, Eric Carrasco and Zack Snyder, released on Netflix. Following a warrior with an ax to grind against the gods, the story draws on Norse mythology, with Sigrid voiced by Sylvia Hoeks, Leif voiced by Stuart Martin and Thor voiced by Pilou Asbæk among the principal voices. Its engine is a single defiant fighter confronting the divine powers of the Norse pantheon, with each of its eight half-hour episodes built around a fresh clash of blades, monsters and sworn oaths. The series plays as a single continuing arc rather than a case-of-the-week format, and its shape is that of a brief, self-contained run across one season. The visual register is bold, bloody and stylized, mixing mythic grandeur with the kinetic choreography of anime-influenced action. Its tone is brutal, irreverent and high-energy, with a defiant swagger that never softens its violence. Fans of Castlevania, Blood of Zeus and Vikings will find resonance in its blend of mythic world-building, gritty warriors and adult animated savagery.
