## Synopsis

Ted Bundy: Falling for a Killer (2020) is a US true crime docuseries created by Trish Wood for Prime Video, a five-episode limited series produced by Amazon Studios and Saloon Media. Rather than chasing the killer's own myth, it gives the floor to the people who were closest to him: his long-term girlfriend Elizabeth Kendall, her daughter Molly Kendall, Bundy's brother Rich Bundy, and journalist and author Steve Winn. Their testimony, paired with archival footage of Ted Bundy himself, traces how a man's pathological hatred of women unfolded in plain sight. The engine of each episode is the gap between the charming figure they once knew and the predator who emerged, and the series patiently works through what those who loved him were unable to see. Set against the culture wars and the feminist movement of 1970s America, the docuseries feels sober, intimate and unsettling, with a steady, reflective pace rather than sensational shock. Fans of Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes, The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst and Making a Murderer will find resonance in its survivor-centered approach to real American crime.
