## Synopsis

The Boarding School: Las Cumbres (2021-2023) is a Spanish teen mystery drama series created by Laura Belloso and Asier Anduenza for Prime Video. Set in an inaccessible mountain location beside an old monastery, the story follows Amaia Torres (Asia Ortega) and a group of rebellious, problematic young people sent to a strict reform school meant to reintegrate them into society. Among the principal students are Paul Uribe (Albert Salazar), León (Joel Bosqued) and Elvira (Mina El Hammani), whose wary alliances shift under the center's severe discipline. The engine of the show is the students' attempt to survive the institution's rigid rules while uncovering what lies behind its walls and in the forest that surrounds it. Each season builds an ongoing mystery across a small set of episodes, with the surrounding woods serving as a source of ancient legends and threats that still feel dangerously real. The tone is tense and atmospheric, with a melancholy undercurrent about young people searching for a second chance. Its three seasons form one continuing storyline, and the series is a Spanish television tradition of youth drama and gothic mystery. Fans of The Boarding School (1997), Riverdale and Wynonna Earp will find resonance in its blend of teen ensemble drama, isolated setting and supernatural suspense.
