## Synopsis

Solar Opposites is an American adult animated science fiction comedy created by Mike McMahan and Justin Roiland for Hulu. Four alien refugees crash-land in middle America after their homeworld is destroyed, and they settle into a cramped suburban house as an unlikely family. Their bickering is constant: petty schemes, clashing roles, and ordinary domestic friction play out against a doomsday premise built around a living supercomputer they are sworn to protect. Each episode pairs cosmic bleakness with mundane sitcom banter, so world-ending stakes arrive wrapped in deadpan jokes and cynical asides. The tone is irreverent, crude, and absurdist, with a satirical eye on American family life seen through outsider eyes. Its humor is adult and biting, yet the household dynamics keep the stakes oddly intimate. Viewers who enjoy irreverent animated comedies with sci-fi premises and sharp social satire will find it an easy, playful watch.
