## Synopsis

Inside Job (2021-2022) is an American adult animated comedy created by Shion Takeuchi, Scott Thomas and Alisha Brophy for Netflix. Across a single season of eighteen half-hour episodes, the series follows the staff of a secret government organization for whom conspiracies are simply part of the job. Reagan Ridley, voiced by Lizzy Caplan, sits at the center of the workplace, with Christian Slater voicing her father Rand Ridley and Clark Duke voicing Brett Hand. Their engine is the everyday friction of keeping an enormous secret while dealing with bureaucratic meetings, difficult parents and coworkers who are eccentric to the point of danger. Each episode is built from office absurdities that escalate into outlandish plots, with the crude humor typical of adult animation. The tone is deadpan and irreverent, with a satirical edge aimed at paranoia and institutional secrecy. Fans of Archer and Venture Bros. will find a similar blend of crude workplace comedy and conspiracy-driven absurdity. The series was canceled after its first season, leaving its larger story open.
