## Synopsis

Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear (2020-2023) is a Japanese animated isekai comedy series broadcast on AT-X and produced by a cluster of Japanese studios and publishers. Fifteen-year-old Yuna (voiced by Maki Kawase), a withdrawn teen who would rather stay home playing her favorite online game than attend school, receives an unlikely item in her virtual world: a one-of-a-kind bear outfit with overpowered abilities that she is far too embarrassed to wear. When she is suddenly transported into that game world for real, the bear suit becomes her best weapon against monsters and magic. Her companions include Fina (Azumi Waki) and Shuri (Miyu Tomita), and the series spans two seasons and twenty-four episodes, built as episodic adventures with light running threads. Each episode mixes monster battles, cozy daily life and comic embarrassment, giving the show a gentle, breezy, self-deprecating register. Its tones lean cute, playful and warm, and its themes center on shyness, belonging and the courage to step outside one's comfort zone. Fans of Sword Art Online, KonoSuba and Log Horizon will find familiar pleasures in its game-world premise and affectionate humor.
