## Synopsis

Power Book II: Ghost (2020-2024) is an American crime drama series created by Courtney Kemp Agboh for STARZ. It is a four-season serialized spinoff of Power, picking up days after that show's finale. Michael Rainey Jr. plays Tariq St. Patrick, a young man determined to shed his father's legacy and step away from the criminal world, yet who keeps finding that the pressure to protect his family drags him back into the game. Shane Johnson plays Cooper Saxe, and Mary J. Blige plays Monet Stewart Tejada, both pulled into the same tangled web of loyalty and betrayal. The engine of the series is the tension between a clean break and the family obligations that refuse to let go, playing out through shifting alliances, police corruption, and rival crews fighting over turf in New York City. Each season runs ten episodes of continuing story, so order matters and stakes build steadily. Set in a contemporary New York City underworld, the series carries a tense, gritty, morally fraught tone with bursts of violence and sharp dialogue. Fans of Power, The Wire and Ray Donovan will find resonance in its urban crime world and family-driven drama.
