## Synopsis

Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle (2020) is a Japanese animated fantasy comedy series produced by Doga Kobo and broadcast on TV Tokyo, adapted from a manga and running a single 12-episode season of about 24 minutes each. Princess Syalis (voiced by Inori Minase) is kidnapped and locked in the cell of the Demon King Tasogare (Yoshitsugu Matsuoka), yet she is far more upset by her lumpy, uncomfortable bed than by her captivity. Her engine is simple and absurd: she escapes and wanders the castle and beyond in search of better sleep, while the Demon Cleric (Kaito Ishikawa) and the Demon King scramble to keep her out of trouble. Each episode is a loose, self-contained caper of mundane goals inside a fantasy realm, with demons, a hero, and monsters folded into everyday household routines. The mood is breezy, deadpan, and gently absurd, with a warm, cozy irreverence rather than real threat. Fans of Konosuba, The Devil Is a Part-Timer, and Non Non Biyori will find a similar blend of parody, whimsy, and slice of life comedy.
