## Synopsis

An Incurable Case of Love (2020) is a Japanese romantic comedy series created for TBS. Nurse Nanase Sakura (Mone Kamishiraishi) returns to the hospital where she first fell for Dr. Kairi Tendo (Takeru Satoh), a man she remembers as kind and who turns out to be nothing like her memory. The engine of the show is her determination to win back the man she idealized while navigating the bustle of hospital shifts, colleagues, and rival suitors. Each episode mixes clinic routines with flustered encounters and playful sparring between the two leads. Supporting characters including Katsuya Maiguma and Nana Katase add workplace comedy and gossip around the wards. The single season of ten 45-minute episodes forms one continuing romantic arc rather than standalone cases. Its tone is light, breezy and comforting, with a bright sense of fun that grows warmer as the leads' opposing personalities collide. Set in a contemporary Japanese hospital, it sits within the tradition of Japanese romantic comedy dramas. Fans of Doctor Romantic, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and Hana Yori Dango will find resonance in its mix of romance and workplace antics.
