## Synopsis

Mayor of Kingstown (2021-present) is an American crime drama series created by Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon for Paramount+. Jeremy Renner plays Mike McLusky, a fixer from a family of power brokers in a small Michigan town where prisons are the only thriving industry. Dianne Wiest plays his mother Miriam, and Hugh Dillon plays Ian Ferguson, while Tobi Bamtefa plays the streetwise Deverin Bunny Washington. McLusky's engine is a balancing act: he must keep police, inmates, prison guards and politicians satisfied while protecting his family's grip on the town's dealings. Each season is a continuing, serialized story of shifting alliances, dirty deals and rising threats rather than isolated cases. The atmosphere is bleak and tense, with a cold Midwestern grit and a simmering sense of violence beneath the negotiations. Fans of The Wire, Ozark and Yellowstone will find resonance in its portrait of institutions, loyalty and family power. Season by season the story keeps tightening its grip on a town that cannot survive without its prisons.
