## Synopsis

Meow, the Secret Boy (2020) is a South Korean romantic fantasy comedy series created for KBS2, adapted from a popular webtoon. Sol Ah (Shin Ye-eun) returns to school after a break and moves into a small single-resident complex, where she takes in a cat named Hong Jo, played by L. Sol Ah has no idea that Hong Jo can shift into a charming human man, and the story follows the awkward, playful household life of the two housemates. Her friends begin to notice strange things whenever they cross paths with his human form, and the peaceful building starts to shift around them. Hong Jo struggles with being merely a cat while Sol Ah is too absorbed in her own life to notice him, which gives the romance a gentle, slow-building pull. Supporting roles from Seo Ji-hoon, Yoon Ye-joo and Kang Hoon add a lively circle of friends and rivals. Across a single season of 24 episodes, each roughly 35 minutes long, the show moves through everyday routines, small comic misunderstandings and quiet moments of tenderness. Its tone is cozy, whimsical and light, and it sits comfortably beside other Korean romantic fantasies such as My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho and Cheese in the Trap for viewers who enjoy a sweet supernatural crush.
