## Synopsis

Digimon Adventure (2020-2021) is a Japanese animated action adventure series produced by Toei Animation for Fuji TV, a reboot of the classic 1999 monster franchise. Fifth grader Taichi Yagami (voiced by Yuko Sanpei) rushes toward Shibuya after his mother and little sister Hikari (Misaki Watada) are caught aboard a runaway train, and the moment he steps onto the station platform he is pulled into the Digital World, a realm of light and darkness that lies beyond the everyday Network. There he meets his partner Agumon (Chika Sakamoto), and the DigiDestined band together with other children such as Yamato Ishida (Daisuke Namikawa) and Sora Takenouchi (Ryoko Shiraishi). Each episode is built from monster battles, evolutions and proxy fights as the group tries to find its way home while protecting its partners. Across a single season of sixty-seven episodes the tone stays upbeat and earnest, with a bright sense of friendship and wonder shadowed by the danger of a strange world.
