## Synopsis

Box 21 (2020) is a Swedish national-television crime thriller miniseries created by Mani Maserrat-Agah for Viaplay. Across six episodes of roughly 44 minutes each, Romanian woman Lidia (Ioana Ilinca Neacsu) is lured to Sweden, locked away and forced into prostitution, and her search for revenge becomes a dangerous pursuit. Her path converges with that of weary police detective Ewert Grens (Leonard Terfelt), who is chasing a ruthless criminal. Supporting roles include Mimosa Willamo as Mariana Hermansson and Cristian Bota as Lucian Manea, and the investigation is pressed by the police team and the criminal network around it. The engine of the story is a captive woman's determination to survive and strike back, set against a procedural hunt that moves through cold Swedish cities and the hidden world of trafficking. Each episode tightens the net, making this a single continuing story where every turn matters. The mood is bleak, tense and grounded, with moral unease and a slow, deliberate pace. Viewers who enjoy the Nordic noir of The Bridge or the melancholy police work of Wallander will find the same chilly atmosphere and human cost here.
