## Synopsis

Central Park (2020-2022) is an American adult animated musical comedy series created by Josh Gad, Loren Bouchard and Nora Smith for Apple TV. Set in present-day New York City, it follows Owen Tillerman (Leslie Odom Jr.), who manages Central Park, and his unconventional family, including the exuberant Birdie (Josh Gad) and the lively Cole (Tituss Burgess). Their everyday life inside the park is a constant balancing act of quirky odd jobs and family squabbles, and the engine of each episode is the threat posed by Bitsy (Stanley Tucci), a wealthy hotel heiress determined to turn the park into condominiums. Across three seasons and thirty-nine episodes, the show fills its story with original songs that burst out of ordinary conflicts, giving it the bright, theatrical feel of a stage revue. The tone is witty, warm and cheeky, with sharp satire of privilege and a deep affection for the city's public green space. Fans of Bob's Burgers for its animated family sitcom charm, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend for its self-aware musical comedy, and Smash for its New York showbiz energy will find much to enjoy here.
