## Synopsis

Kenny Starfighter (1997-2022) is a Swedish science fiction family series created by Mats Lindberg and Carl Åstrand for SVT1 and SVT Play. Johan Rheborg stars as the title hero Kenny Starfighter, who battles the evil lord Dr. Deo, with Maja Rung as Penny Starfighter and Johan Stattin as Markus among the supporting cast. The series runs across two seasons and fourteen half-hour episodes, a short run split between 1997 and a 2022 return. Its engine is a simple good versus evil conflict, with the hero repeatedly confronting a super villain and his schemes. The tone is light, playful and comic, aimed squarely at children, and its sci-fi trappings stay cheerful rather than menacing. Fans of Lazy Town and Doctor Who will find a similar blend of wholesome adventure and heroic fun, while the series keeps its focus on simple, reassuring stakes. Viewers looking for an easygoing kids sci-fi show with a clear hero and villain will find it a gentle, uncomplicated watch.
