## Synopsis

Digimon Frontier (2002-2003) is a Japanese animated action adventure series created for Fuji TV, produced by Toei Animation as part of the long-running Digimon franchise. Five young people receive mysterious messages on their cell phones that pull them onto a train into the Digital World, a bright and strange realm of bizarre creatures called Digimon. Their engine is a rescue mission: they must find their hidden spirits, which will evolve them into Legendary Warrior Digimon powerful enough to confront Cherubimon, the evil creature who has sent his servants to stop them before he can annihilate every inhabitant of the planet. Across one run of fifty episodes, the story is built as a serialized quest, with each episode mixing monster battles, shifting alliances, and the growing bond between the team and their partner creatures. The tone is earnest and adventurous, with hopeful, energetic moments balanced against the threat of an approaching doom. Its look is a colorful fantasy world of fighting monsters and wide landscapes. Fans of Digimon Adventure, Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! will find familiar pleasures in its creature partnerships and heroic youth.
