## Synopsis

Operación Pacífico (2020) is a United States Spanish-language crime drama series created by Alberto González for Telemundo. Captain Amalia Ortega (Majida Issa) leads a secret unit whose mission is to capture the most wanted Mexican drug trafficker, Rodolfo Espinoza Roldán, known as El Guapo (Julio Bracho). Her pursuit pulls her toward the operation's cost, as her professional duties press against the safety of her own family. Alongside her, Coronel Gabriel Pedraza (Mark Tacher) and Agente Bradley Jones (Klemen Novak) help shape the chase through covert operations and shifting loyalties. The engine of each episode is the ongoing hunt: surveillance, informants, tense raids, and the moral strain of working inside a cartel war. Across its sixty episodes in a single season, the story moves steadily through the drug trade and the officers who pursue it. Its tone blends the melodrama of a telenovela with the grit of a crime thriller, mixing emotional family stakes with serialized suspense. Fans of Narcos and La Reina del Sur will find resonance in its cartel focus, its serialized structure, and its Latin American crime world. The result is a tense, emotionally heightened portrait of loyalty, danger, and the price of the chase.
