## Synopsis

Rebelde Way (2002-2003) is an Argentine teen soap opera created by Cris Morena for Azul Televisión. Set at an elite school in present-day Buenos Aires, the series follows Mía Colucci (Luisana Lopilato), Pablo Bustamante (Benjamín Rojas), Manuel Aguirre (Felipe Colombo) and Marizza (Camila Bordonaba), four teenagers from sharply different social and economic backgrounds who find common ground through their love of music. The engine of the show is the friction between privilege and scarcity: students juggle band rehearsals, competing ambitions, rival romances and family pressures, while the school corridors become a stage for every alliance and betrayal. Told across two seasons and roughly three hundred episodes, it plays as a sprawling, continuing serial in which each week brings new romantic tangles and musical performances. The tone is earnest, emotionally heightened and warm, with melodramatic swells and youthful idealism. Fans of Glee, High School Musical and the wider Latin American teen soap tradition will find familiar pleasures in its mix of music, friendship and class-crossing romance.
