## Synopsis

Legendary (2020-2022) is an American reality competition series created for HBO Max, following the underground ballroom community. Voguing teams known as houses face off in lavish balls where they must perform and showcase bold, elaborate fashion to climb toward the coveted title of legendary. Hosted by MC Dashaun Wesley Williams, the competition is judged by a panel including Law Roach, Leiomy Maldonado, and Jameela Jamil, with guest appearances from Megan Thee Stallion and Keke Palmer, and choreography guided by Tanisha Scott and Jamari Balmain. Each episode is built around categories that test the houses' creativity, runway presence and stagecraft, while the broader story follows the chosen families who rise and compete together. The tone is celebratory and glamorous, with an undercurrent of pride and community that reflects the ballroom scene's history of queer self-expression. Across three seasons the show offers a vibrant, high-energy look at a subculture rarely given mainstream spotlight. Fans of RuPaul's Drag Race, Project Runway and Paris Is Burning will find resonance in its blend of performance, fashion and queer community spirit.
