## Synopsis

The Teacher (2020) is a Turkish national television psychological thriller series created by an unknown creator for FOX. Physics teacher Akif (İlker Kaleli) wants to deliver a brutal lesson in humanity to the 12A class at Küçükkuyu high school, which he holds hostage after rigging the building with a bomb and sealing the students off from the rest of the school. The engine of the story is a single pressing question he poses to the trapped teenagers: who among them caused the death of their classmate Kay Örnek. Students including Zeynep (Ceren Moray), Taner (Serhat Kılıç) and Gizem (Afra Saraçoğlu) must weigh loyalty, fear and guilt as the clock and the explosives tighten, while police, led by Yılmaz Komiser (Serkan Keskin), circle outside. The show runs for two seasons across nine episodes of roughly two hours each, a canceled serialized thriller built on confinement, interrogation and mounting pressure. Set in a present-day Turkish high school, it delivers tense, claustrophobic and emotionally harrowing drama in the vein of Money Heist and Haven, with a grim, unflinching register and an accusatory atmosphere that keeps viewers guessing about who is hiding what.
