## Synopsis

Eureka Seven (2005-2012) is a Japanese animated mecha series created by Dai Sato and Kazuhiko Shimamoto, produced by BONES and aired on MBS and TBS. Renton Thurston, a bored teenager dreaming of adventure, is voiced by Yuko Sanpei and joins the mercenary group Gekkostate after a robot crashes through his garage. He becomes co-pilot of the giant robot Nirvash alongside the mysterious girl Eureka, voiced by Kaori Nazuka. The engine of the show is Renton's restless wish to escape ordinary life, pushed against the demands of a crew living on hoverboards and fighting in battles that resemble wild surfing. Across two seasons and seventy-four episodes, the story spans a gradual shift from episodic missions to a larger struggle over politics, morality and religious dogma. Its tone mixes exuberant action and bass-driven energy with tender romance and coming-of-age melancholy. Fans of Neon Genesis Evangelion, Gundam Wing and Macross will find resonance in its real robot spectacle and youthful emotional stakes. The setting is an invented future world rather than Earth, rendered through vivid anime artistry and a sprawling sense of adventure.
