## Synopsis

The God of High School (2020) is a Japanese anime action series produced by MAPPA and based on a Korean webtoon, aired on AT-X. Jin Mori, a self-declared strongest high schooler, is invited to a mysterious tournament whose champion will have any wish granted. Voiced by Tatsumaru Tachibana, Jin is the protagonist surrounded by fellow contenders including Yoo Mira, voiced by Ayaka Ohashi, and Han Daewi, voiced by Kentaro Kumagai, along with Park Ilpyo, voiced by Koki Uchiyama. The engine of the show is simple and propulsive: each fighter enters with a personal desire, and every episode is built around a one-on-one clash between powerful students whose abilities escalate with each round. The single thirteen-episode season delivers loud, brash martial arts spectacle with a playful, cocky energy and a steady undercurrent of rivalry and camaraderie. Its supernatural battle tournament shape gives it the feel of a shonen tournament arc, with a stylized, high-octane look. Fans of Hunter x Hunter, Yu Yu Hakusho and Jujutsu Kaisen will find resonance in its competitive escalation and youthful bravado. The story ends on an open question about what the tournament is really for.
