## Synopsis

Aleph (2020-2022) is a Turkish crime mystery series created by Emre Kayiş for BluTV. Veteran homicide detective Settar Öztürk (Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan) is handed what is meant to be his final case alongside his partner Kemal McAllister (Kenan İmirzalıoğlu). Their assignment begins as a string of ruthless, meticulously staged murders that seem to have no obvious pattern. As the investigation deepens, the pair find the killer's motives tied to Islamic heresy and sufism, pulling them into a web of spiritual doctrine and hidden history. Across two seasons and sixteen hour-long episodes, the series builds a serialized procedural in which each clue opens onto a larger puzzle. Supporting performances from Melisa Sözen as Yaşar and Sevinç Kumaş as Avukat add grounding texture around the detectives. The atmosphere is dark, claustrophobic and brooding, with a measured pace that rewards patient viewers. Fans of Hannibal, True Detective and Behzat Ç. will find resonance in its blend of ritual violence, moral weariness and the sense that solving a case may cost more than the detectives expected.
