## Synopsis

Big Sky (2020-2023) is an American network crime drama series created by David E. Kelley for ABC. Private detective Cassie Dewell (Kylie Bunbury) teams with ex-cop Jenny Hoyt (Katheryn Winnick) after two sisters are snatched by a truck driver on a remote Montana highway. Their search widens when they learn other girls have vanished in the same stretch of empty road, and every lead forces them to race a clock that keeps ticking toward the next abduction. Dedee Pfeiffer, Brian Geraghty, and Jensen Ackles round out the principal cast as figures tangled in the investigation and the local power struggles around it. The series unfolds across three seasons, each built around a serialized kidnapping case that carries its own mystery forward while the detectives' partnership deepens. Its tone is tense and propulsive, with a wide-open rural landscape that feels both beautiful and threatening. Fans of The Killing, Fargo, and Mindhunter will find resonance in its blend of procedural grit and dread-soaked small-town crime, with the isolation of the Montana backroads giving the chase a lonely, relentless edge.
