## Synopsis

Biohackers (2020-2021) is a German science thriller series created by Christian Ditter for Netflix. Mia Akerlund (Luna Wedler) is a medical student who enters a prestigious German university under a secret mission, determined to uncover a conspiracy that links a family tragedy to a visionary biology professor. Her investigation pulls her into a world of genetic engineering and ambitious research, where every new lead risks exposing her true purpose. Tanja Lorenz (Jessica Schwarz) and a circle of fellow students and rivals surround her, each with their own loyalties and secrets. The show runs across two seasons of twelve episodes in total, following one continuing storyline in which order matters and the suspense builds steadily. Its tone is tense and suspenseful, with a cool, clinical visual palette that mirrors the sterile labs and lecture halls. Fans of Dark, Westworld and Alias will find resonance in its blend of science-driven intrigue, serialized mystery and a determined protagonist chasing the truth. The series was canceled after its second season, leaving its central storyline open.
