## Synopsis

Hasta que la plata nos separe (2006-2007) is a Colombian telenovela created for RCN, a single-season romantic drama with comedic edges that runs 162 episodes. Rafael Méndez (Víctor Hugo Cabrera) is a salesman who lives by informal deals and has no university degree, while Alejandra Maldonado (Marcela Carvajal) is the commercial manager of a car dealership, armored in an MBA and a hard attitude. The engine of the show is a forced partnership: after an unfortunate car accident pulls the two together, each must navigate the other's world while protecting their own. Episodes move through the daily friction of dealership politics, street hustles, family pressures and the stubborn rivalry that slowly turns into attraction. Supporting characters such as Vicky Parra (Liliana Gonzalez) and Nelson Ospina (Lincoln Palomeque) widen the ensemble and bring the sitcom-like misunderstandings typical of the genre. Set in contemporary urban Colombia, the series tilts between warm humor and sharper class commentary, offering a comfortable, melodramatic rhythm. Fans of Betty la fea, Ugly Betty and Jane the Virgin will find resonance in its class-crossing romance, bright comic tone and heartfelt telenovela sensibility.
