## Synopsis

The Baby-Sitters Club (2020-2021) is a contemporary American family comedy series created by Rachel Shukert for Netflix. Adapted in spirit from the beloved book series, it follows five best friends who launch a baby-sitting business in a small town that is big on fun and adventure. Kristy Thomas (Sophie Grace) organizes the venture, while Claudia Kishi (Momona Tamada), Stacey McGill (Shay Rudolph), and Mary Anne Spier (Malia Baker) bring their own talents and worries to each job. Alicia Silverstone plays Elizabeth Thomas-Brewer, whose family life sits alongside the girls' growing enterprise. Each episode is built around a new client family, a new childcare crisis, and the everyday logistics of running a small business alongside school and home life. The tone is sunny, gentle, and hopeful, with a steady emphasis on loyalty, friendship, and family relationships. Across two seasons and eighteen episodes of roughly half an hour each, the show runs as a light, episodic comedy with running threads about the club itself. Its wholesome, comforting register makes it a natural fit for younger viewers and families. Fans of Recess, Gilmore Girls, and The Super Hero Club will find a similar warmth in its young friend group and small town setting.
