## Synopsis

Psycho (2020) is a Russian psychological drama miniseries created by Alexey Kiselev for more.tv and Wink. Konstantin Bogomolov plays Oleg, a in-demand forty-year-old Moscow psychotherapist who seems to his clients a successful and independent family man, yet who privately wrestles with raging passions and needs a specialist's help himself. His wife has been missing for a little over a year, and that absence hangs over every session and every quiet domestic moment. Elena Lyadova plays Vera, and Igor Vernik plays Artyom, among a supporting cast that includes Anna Chipovskaya as Lena and Vladimir Simonov as Nikolay Stepanovich. The engine of the story is the gap between the composed professional he performs in consulting rooms and the compulsive man he becomes after hours, with each episode peeling back another layer of his life. Told in eight hour-long episodes as one continuous arc, it is a tightly controlled, claustrophobic urban drama set in contemporary Moscow. Its tone is brooding, intimate and unsettling, closer to a slow confessional study than a conventional thriller. Viewers drawn to the interior dread of In Treatment or the composed unraveling of Hannibal will find its mix of therapy-room tension and private menace resonant.
