## Synopsis

Paytakht (2011-2025) is an Iranian national-television family comedy created for IRIB TV1 and running seven seasons across 133 episodes. Naqi Mamooli (Mohsen Tanabandeh) anchors a Mazandarani household in the village of Aliabad, where he shares a home with his wife Homa Saadat (Rima Raminfar), their twin daughters Sara and Nika, and his cousin Arastoo Amel (Ahmad Mehranfar). Naqi's elderly father Baba Panjali (Alireza Khamseh), who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, adds a tender undercurrent to the household's constant bustle. The engine of the show is the steady stream of misunderstandings, neighborhood rivalries, family schemes, and unexpected adventures that disrupt the Mamoolis' ordinary days, with each episode built around a fresh domestic predicament rather than a single overarching mystery. Each season picks up the family's life where it left off, so the characters grow older and the village world around them shifts gradually. The tone is warm, cozy, and affectionate, with humor that leans on family loyalty, rural customs, and the comic friction between generations. Fans of Everybody Loves Raymond, The Middle and similar heartwarming family sitcoms will find the same mix of everyday chaos and sincere sentiment here.
