## Synopsis

Love 101 (2020-2021) is a Turkish teen romantic comedy-drama series created by Meriç Acemi for Netflix. Its engine is a plot by four misfits and a model student who try to make their beloved teacher fall for a basketball coach, a scheme that keeps spiraling as classroom crushes, friendships and personal insecurities collide. Alina Boz plays Eda, Mert Yazıcıoğlu plays Sinan, Kubilay Aka plays Kerem and Selahattin Paşalı plays Osman, with İpek Filiz Yazıcı, Pınar Deniz and Müfit Kayacan rounding out the principal cast. The series unfolds across two seasons of eight episodes each, with each episode made of hallway gossip, awkward confessions, late night hangouts and the messy business of growing up. Set in a Turkish high school with a nostalgic 1990s-flavored atmosphere, it is a warm and sometimes raucous coming of age story where love is pursued more than it is found. Its tone is breezy and sincere, mixing light comedy with tender moments about friendship and the courage to be oneself. Fans of Sex Education, Skam and Heartstopper will find resonance in its ensemble of outsiders and its affectionate look at teenage romance.
