## Synopsis

Love Scenery (2021) is a Chinese web romance drama created for iQiyi and Tencent Video, a single-season run of 31 forty-five-minute episodes. Its protagonist is a professional gamer whose life centers on the competitive esports world, and his story turns on a romance with a singer five years older than him. The engine of the series is the push and pull of a relationship that must navigate the gap in age and the distractions of career, with everyday moments of practice sessions, rehearsals, and friendships providing the texture of each episode. Fate and first love run through the story, giving the courtship an earnest, hopeful quality. The show plays its romance with a light comic touch and a warm, youthful energy, while its characters' ambitions give the drama a steady undercurrent of earnestness. Principal cast includes Xu Lu as Zhu Liangchen, Lin Yi as Lu Jing, Hu Bing as Ding Jiayun, and Danni Chong as Ma Shanshan. Fans of Meteor Garden and Hi, Bye, Mama! will find a similar blend of sweet romance and lighthearted comedy. The series is a contained, complete romance with a bittersweet closing register.
