## Synopsis

Ultraman Z (2020) is a Japanese tokusatsu superhero series produced by Tsuburaya Productions and aired on TV Tokyo. Its protagonist is Ultraman Zett, a young giant hero and disciple of Ultraman Zero, who joins the Inter Galactic Defense Force to protect Earth. Zett's engine is a steady push to prove himself while carrying forward his teacher's passion, as he confronts kaiju monsters and scheming villains in episodes built around battles and transformations. Principal human characters include Haruki Natsukawa, played by Kohshu Hirano, and the defense force officers Yoko Nakashima (Rima Matsuda) and Shota Hebikura (Takaya Aoyagi), with Zett voiced by Tasuku Hatanaka and Zero by Mamoru Miyano. The series runs as a single 28-episode season in a 30-minute format, with each episode delivering a self-contained monster clash alongside a longer arc. Its tone is bright, earnest and energetic, with a comforting optimism and a strong emphasis on heroic camaraderie. Set in a present-day world menaced by space threats, it appeals to fans of Ultraman Geed, Kamen Rider Zero-One and the classic Ultraman series.
