## Synopsis

Doc (2020-present) is an Italian national-television medical drama created by Viola Rispoli and Francesco Arlanch for Rai 1. Luca Argentero stars as Doctor Andrea Fanti, a physician who wakes after a brain injury with twelve years of his memory erased, and must navigate a present full of people who have moved on without him. Matilde Gioli plays Giulia Giordano and Sara Lazzaro plays Agnese Tiberi, among other principal figures whose relationships with Andrea shift as he pieces together who he has become. The engine of the series is Andrea's struggle to reconcile the man he remembers being with the man others now expect him to be, while hospital shifts, family tensions and old loyalties press in from every side. Episodes are built around medical cases and personal reckonings, and the show runs as one continuing story across four seasons with sixteen episodes each. Its tone is warm and emotionally grounded, with moments of quiet melancholy and hope, and it is set in contemporary Italy. Viewers who enjoy Grey's Anatomy and the emotional reinvention of Memento will find resonance here, as will fans of humane hospital drama in the vein of The Good Doctor.
