## Synopsis

The Victims' Game (2020-2024) is a Taiwanese crime mystery drama series created by Chen Kuan-chung and David Chuang for Netflix. Forensic detective Fang Yi-jen (Joseph Chang Hsiao-Chuan), who has Asperger's syndrome, pursues a string of mysterious murders after discovering that his estranged daughter has a link to the case. The engine of the show is his precise, methodical investigation pulling against the emotional cost of a fractured family, as he risks his career and relationships to uncover the truth. Principal supporting players include Hsu Wei-ning as Hsu Hai-yin and Wang Shih-sian as Chao Cheng-kuan, alongside Ruby Lin as Li Ya-jun and Moon Lee as Chiang Hsiao-Meng. The series unfolds as a serialized mystery across two seasons totaling sixteen episodes, each roughly an hour long, and the story follows one continuing investigation rather than standalone cases. Its tone is tense and cerebral, with a grounded, contemporary Taiwanese setting and a melancholic undercurrent around family loyalty. Adapted from a novel, the show is built on suspense and reveals rather than spectacle. Fans of Bones, The Good Doctor and Sherlock will find resonance in its neurodivergent investigator and methodical crime solving.
