## Synopsis

Malory Towers (2020-2025) is a British family drama series created by Rachel Flowerday and Sasha Hails for CBBC, adapted in the tradition of classic school stories. Ella Bright plays Darrell Rivers, a newcomer who leaves home for the first time to attend an all-girls boarding school perched on the sun-drenched cliffs of the Cornish coast. Around her are principal characters played by Danya Griver as Gwendoline Mary Lacey, Beth Bradfield as Jean Dunlop and Imogen Lamb as Mary-Lou Linnett, whose friendships, rivalries and loyalties shape each term. The engine of the series is simple and warm: Darrell learns to belong while navigating lacrosse matches, schoolgirl pranks, late night midnight feasts and the lingering puzzle of a mystery ghost haunting the grounds. Set in post-war Britain, the show unfolds across seven seasons and ninety-two episodes, each a self-contained school adventure that builds gradually into a continuing story of growing up. Its tone is wholesome, nostalgic and gently cozy, with a sunny seaside atmosphere and a sincere belief in lasting friendship. Viewers who enjoy the warmth of Grange Hill, the wholesome charm of Heartbreak High and the playful mischief of classic boarding school stories will find much to love here.
