## Synopsis

Samantar (2020-2021) is an Indian Marathi-language mystery drama series created for MX Player, running two seasons and nineteen short episodes of roughly twenty-one minutes each. Its premise is built on a striking idea: two men who share the same palm lines and therefore the same destiny. Kumar Mahajan (Swapnil Joshi) sets out on a journey to find Sudarshan Chakrapani (Nitish Bharadwaj), a man whose life has already played out the path Kumar is now living. As Kumar meets Chakrapani, he must decide whether he can control his present or change the future written in his hands. Supporting roles include Ganesh Revdekar as Sharad, Tejaswini Pandit as Nima Mahajan, Jayant Sawarkar as Swami, and Sai Tamhankar as Meera Baviskar. The engine of the series is a constant tension between recognition and resistance, as each encounter reveals more of the older life and pushes Kumar to test whether it can be altered. The tone is introspective and eerie, with a mystical undercurrent that keeps the viewer uncertain about what will happen next. Fans of Dark and Lost will find resonance in its layered, fate-driven mystery and its patient, puzzle-like unfolding.
