## Synopsis

Lincoln Heights (2007-2009) is an American family drama created by Seth Freeman for ABC Family. Police officer Eddie Sutton (Russell Hornsby) and his nurse wife Jenn Sutton (Nicki Micheaux) leave their comfortable Southern California suburb and move their three teenagers into the inner-city neighborhood where Eddie grew up. The engine of the series is the household adjustment: teenagers Cassie Sutton (Erica Hubbard), Tay (Mishon Ratliff) and Lizzie Sutton (Rhyon Nicole Brown) must find their footing at a new school and among neighbors who know their father from childhood, while Eddie balances his duties on the force with his loyalties to the community that raised him. Episodes are built around everyday school crises, friendships, romance and family negotiations rather than a single overarching mystery. Across four seasons the show plays as a warm, earnest, character-driven family drama, with an optimistic outlook on working-class neighborhood life and the strain of moving between worlds. Fans of Party of Five, Eight Simple Rules and Everybody Hates Chris will find resonance in its blend of teen coming-of-age and family warmth.
