## Synopsis

Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World (2020-2025) is a Japanese anime fantasy series produced by SILVER LINK. and KADOKAWA, adapted from a light novel and broadcast on AT-X. Across two seasons and twenty-four episodes, it follows an imperial swordsman, Iska (voiced by Yusuke Kobayashi), and the witch princess Aliceliese Lou Nebulis IX (voiced by Sora Amamiya), sworn enemies who vow to cut each other down to unite their worlds. Iska is drawn to her beauty and righteousness while she is moved by his strength and resolve, and the story pulls them through battlefield encounters and political maneuvering in a long-running war between a scientifically advanced empire and a paradise of witches. Supporting figures such as Nene Alkastone (Kaori Ishihara) and Mismis Klass (Nao Shiraki) add depth to the rival camps. The tone blends romance, fantasy, and military action, with a sense of aching longing set against the grind of war. Each episode advances a continuing story, and the magic-and-steel aesthetic carries the mood. Fans of Re:Zero, Romeo and Juliet, and Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash will find resonance in its forbidden romance, fantasy war, and emotionally charged anime world.
