## Synopsis

By the Grace of the Gods (2020-2023) is a Japanese animated isekai fantasy series produced by MAHO FILM and Lantis and broadcast on TOKYO MX. Ryoma Takebayashi, who dies in his sleep at thirty-nine after a life of misfortune, is reincarnated by three divine beings as a young boy in a magical new world. Voiced by Azusa Tadokoro and later by Hiroki Yasumoto, Ryoma spends his days researching and caring for slimes in the forest, accompanied by the creature Kufo and the companion Miya. After he heals an injured traveler, he sets out on a journey with new friends to use his magic and slime-taming skill to help strangers they meet along the road. Daisuke Ono and Takehito Koyasu voice figures who widen the world beyond the forest. The show runs across two seasons and twenty-four episodes, built from self-contained episodes of gentle wandering and everyday kindness rather than a single hard-driving plot. Its tone is warm, soothing and cozy, with an iyashikei comfort register and light humor. Fans of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and Re:Zero will find familiar isekai pleasures here, though the pace is far calmer and the stakes gentler.
