Audiences rate KAOS positively for its irreverent take on Greek mythology, though its single season is seen as a playful, uneven experiment rather than a fully formed triumph.

## Synopsis

KAOS (2024) is a British dark comedy fantasy series created by Charlie Covell for Netflix. Jeff Goldblum plays Zeus, the king of the gods, whose paranoia spirals as discord erupts on Mount Olympus, while Stephen Dillane plays Prometheus and Janet McTeer plays Hera, the queen whose domestic rivalries deepen the divine family chaos. Three mortals, including Aurora Perrineau as Riddy, are destined to reshape the future of humankind, and their paths cross the gods' squabbling in a modern world of news bulletins, offices and everyday routines. The engine is a collision between ancient myth and mundane contemporary life: the gods want to hold onto power while mortals stumble into roles they never asked for. Dionysus, played by Nabhaan Rizwan, adds further disorder to the family. Across a single eight-episode season of roughly 51-minute episodes, the series builds a cerebral, offbeat tone that blends absurd humor with a darker sense of dread and political unease. Its satirical mythology will appeal to viewers who enjoy the sly irreverence of Good Omens, the family power struggles of Succession, and the divine mischief of Lucifer. Set against a Greek mythic backdrop, it is a sharp, unusual Netflix comedy-drama about power, fate and family.
