## Synopsis

Her Mother's Killer (2020-2025) is a Colombian telenovela created by Clara María Ochoa, Lucho Sierra and Camila Vega for Caracol TV. Its protagonist, political strategist Ana Lucía Junca (Carolina Gómez), has spent nearly thirty years carrying the memory of her mother's murder, and now builds a calculated plan to ruin the presidential candidate responsible. Pablo de la Torre Castiblanco (George Slebi) sits at the center of the family and political web that her scheme must navigate, while Guillermo León (Marlon Moreno) and Mark Salinas (Juan A. Baptista) represent the powerful men whose ambitions and alliances complicate every move. The engine of the series is patient revenge: each episode turns on a manipulation, a leaked secret, a staged appearance or a shifting alliance, and the stakes rise as the candidate's rise to power draws closer. Spread across two seasons and 126 episodes, it unfolds as one continuing serialized story in the grand melodramatic tradition of the telenovela. Its register is intense and emotionally heightened, mixing betrayal, hidden identities and sudden reversals with a steady undercurrent of grief and dread. Set in contemporary Colombia amid the machinery of national elections, it will appeal to viewers who enjoy the long-game revenge of Revenge and the political intrigue of House of Cards, as well as fans of Latin American melodrama.
