## Synopsis

The Last Narc (2020) is a American true crime docuseries created for Prime Video, a four-episode limited series that revisits the 1985 kidnapping, torture, and murder of DEA narcotics agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena by Mexican drug lords. Rather than dramatizing the events, the series builds its case from testimony by three former cartel insiders who, thirty-five years later, share details never previously made public. Geneva Camarena, the agent's family, anchors the emotional stakes as the investigation pushes toward the truth behind the killing. Each episode works through archival material and interviews, following the narc who risked everything to pursue the story and the cartel he infiltrated. The format is a tightly constructed, one-season limited run, unfolding as a sober, grounded inquiry into corruption and loyalty. The tone is somber and propulsive, with dread surfacing whenever the insiders recall the violence. Fans of Narcos, The Staircase and Dirty Money will find resonance in its blend of cartel history, institutional failure, and the personal cost of exposing the truth.
