## Synopsis

History 101 (2020-2022) is a British documentary series created for Netflix, produced by ITN Productions. Across two seasons and twenty short episodes of roughly twenty-two minutes each, it delivers bite-size history lessons built from archival footage and animated infographics. Narrator Natalie Silverman guides viewers through self-contained subjects, from the space race and China to plastics, oil, robots, feminism, nuclear power, AIDS and genetics. Archive appearances by figures such as Mao Zedong, Yuri Gagarin and George H. W. Bush anchor the historical material. Each episode is a compact primer rather than a long narrative, so the engine is simply breadth: a clear, quick explanation of how a discovery or movement changed the world. The tone is brisk, accessible and informative, with a light educational warmth suited to casual viewers. Fans of Connected, Crash Course and Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey will find a similar appetite for explaining big ideas through archive and graphics. The series was canceled after its second season, so its run ends without a formal conclusion.
