## Synopsis

På spåret (1987-present) is a Swedish national-television quiz game show created by Ingvar Oldsberg and Lennart Andersson for SVT. Hosted for many years by Ingvar Oldsberg, with Björn Hellberg as his longtime sidekick, and later by Kristian Luuk alongside judge Fredrik Lindström, the program follows contestants who travel by train across Sweden and answer questions on geography, history and general knowledge. The engine of each episode is the steady accumulation of correct answers against the clock, with the travelling format giving every round a sense of movement and discovery. Running for thirty-seven seasons and more than four hundred episodes, it has become a fixture of Swedish life, drawing audiences so large that nearly every second Swede once tuned in to a single broadcast. Its tone is warm, witty and gently educational, a comforting blend of humor and learning that families and quiz enthusiasts return to season after season. Fans of Jeopardy!, Only Connect and Would I Lie to You? will find a similar appeal in its mix of trivia, playful banter and communal viewing.
