## Synopsis

Clarice (2021) is a US crime thriller series created by Jenny Lumet and Alex Kurtzman for CBS, a one-season run of thirteen hour-long episodes that continues the story of The Silence of the Lambs. Rebecca Breeds plays FBI agent Clarice Starling, who returns to field work six months after her earlier case and pushes to pursue serial murderers and sexual predators. Nick Sandow plays Murray Clarke, and Michael Cudlitz plays Paul Krendler, whose institutional maneuvering makes every investigation harder. Set in 1993 Washington, D.C., the story balances procedural case work against the high stakes political machinery of the capital, where bureaucrats and senators shape what gets investigated. Each episode builds around a fresh predator while a larger pattern of pressure and power pulls at Clarice. The tone is tense and psychological, with a dark, bleak atmosphere and a steady undercurrent of dread. Fans of Criminal Minds and Hannibal will find resonance in its serial killer hunts and its tightly wound psychological menace, and those who enjoy The Killing will recognize its political crime texture.
