## Synopsis

World's End Harem (2022) is a Japanese animated post-apocalyptic romance series broadcast on AT-X and produced by Studio Gokumi. Mizuhara Reito, a man who has been in cryogenic sleep for five years, wakes to a world where a lethal virus has wiped out nearly all men. Reito leaves behind his beloved Erisa Tachibana, who has since gone missing, and he must find her while living among four other male survivors given luxury lives and one mission: to repopulate the planet. The engine of the story is his struggle to resist constant temptation and keep his search alive, with each episode mixing crude sexual comedy, mounting conspiracy, and glimpses of a damaged society. Voice performances by Taichi Ichikawa as Reito and Keiko Watanabe as Rea Katagiri anchor the cast. Running for a single season of eleven episodes, the series is a brief, self-contained ecchi-driven story rather than a long saga. Its tone is brash and provocative, with flashes of romantic yearning and a slightly sinister undercurrent. Fans of Highschool of the Dead and Z Nation will find a similar mix of disaster setting and adult excess, though this show leans more heavily on romance and fan-service comedy than on survival horror.
