## Synopsis

How to Survive Being Single (2020-2023) is a Mexican Spanish-language comedy-drama series created by Sebastián Zurita and Emiliano Zurita for Prime Video. Sebastián Zurita plays Sebastián, an actor known for a single role years ago, whose life is mapped out until he is suddenly pulled back into the orbit of his long-time friends, all hopeless at love. Tato Alexander plays Fabiana, Pamela Almanza plays Lucía, and Lucía Gómez-Robledo plays Mafer, each navigating their own romantic misfires. The engine is simple and relatable: Sebastián wants stability, but dating mishaps, awkward reunions, and new flings keep pulling him back into a world he left almost a decade ago. Across three seasons and twenty-six episodes, the show moves through a series of candid, slightly raunchy encounters in modern Mexico City, balancing the sharp comedy of bad decisions with quieter pangs of family strain and loneliness. Its tone is breezy and frank, with warmth beneath the banter. Fans of Insecure, Girls, and Fleabag will find resonance in its blend of romantic misadventure and emotional honesty about adult friendship.
